The Würth Group has acquired the chemical company Diffutherm B.V. and its subsidiary Dinol GmbH

The Würth Group has acquired the chemical company Diffutherm B.V. based in Bergeijk, the Netherlands and its subsidiary Dinol GmbH based in Lügde, Germany. Both companies together generated sales of about EUR 60 million and have about 150 employees on their payroll at both sites. Strategique has since long advised the management and shareholder of Diffutherm and Dinol.

Würth takes over the entire management and all employees of both companies. "This is a professional management team with an excellent market knowledge, allowing is to quickly attain our growth targets", says Peter Zürn. He is also convinced of the quality of the products: "Würth, Dinol and Diffutherm all meet the same quality standard." Frank Werst, managing director of Dinol and Diffutherm, welcomes that the two companies will become part of the Würth Group. "We have a high export share and many multinational customers. Hence, our international approach is perfectly suited for the Würth Group."Dinol and Diffutherm develop, produce and distribute adhesives, corrosion protection, underbody protection as well as insulation materials and sealants; mainly for the automotive aftermarket but also for the construction industry. Dinol is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of adhesives, sealants, corrosion proofing materials and sprayable noise protection materials as well as application systems for use in the automotive industry and for industrial applications. Diffutherm also specialized in anti-corrosion products, adhesives, cleaning products and chemical products for the building industry.

Strategique and Diffutherm have a long history together: initially Strategique advised Diffutherm on its growth strategy and subsequently supported Diffutherm in its acquisition of Dinol. When the Würth Group approached Diffutherm, Strategique  was retained by Diffuthern as advisor in the selling process.
